On Sunday, seven pylons on the N4 in Pretoria collapsed, leaving large parts of the eastern suburbs without power for a few days. WebbPylons, or towers, play the role of supporting the cables and transferring the loads transmitted through the cables all the way to the ground. The shape of the pylons/towers can be freely planned according to the shape of the cable stays.
